Who we are

Idus is a subscription app for projects, tasks, notes, group chat and an AI assistant, operated by Nadir Miry from Morocco. This policy covers the Idus app (Android, iOS, web) and the Idus website.

What we store

Your account: the email address you sign in with, the name you choose, and an optional profile picture. Your content: projects, steps, tasks, notes, goals, chat messages and chat files, plus who you shared each item with. Your settings (language, themes, notification choices) stay on your device. Suggestions you send us are stored with your account.

Payments

Subscriptions are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Your card details go to Paddle, never to us. We only receive the state of your subscription (active, trial, canceled) and the renewal date.

The AI assistant

When you mention @Idus or use the assistant button, your request and the relevant project content (tasks, deadlines, recent chat messages) are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to produce the answer, and actions you ask for run with your own permissions only. We keep a token-usage ledger to enforce the monthly AI budget. We do not use your content to train AI models.

Profile pictures

A profile picture is optional. If you upload one, it is stored in a bucket served over public links: anyone who has the exact link can view the picture, though nothing in the app shows it to people outside your shared projects. If you have not uploaded a picture, the app asks Gravatar (a service by Automattic) whether one is registered for your email, sending a one-way hash of the address, never the address itself; if none exists, a colored initial is shown instead. Removing your picture in Settings deletes the file.

Where your data lives

Content syncs to our database and file storage hosted by Supabase in the European Union (Ireland region). A copy stays on your device so the app works offline.

What we never do

No advertising, no selling or renting your data, no tracking beyond what is strictly needed to run the service.

Sharing

Content you share is visible to the people you invited, with the role you gave them (viewer or editor). Chat files are stored privately and served through short-lived links to project members only.

Your controls

Export your projects, tasks, notes and goals as one file (Settings, Data, "Export my data"); chat messages and chat files stay inside the app. Delete your account and everything it owns, permanently (Settings, Data, "Delete my account and data"). Remove your profile picture or sign out at any time.

Retention

Your content is kept for as long as your account exists. Deleting the account removes it right away; residual copies (platform backups, storage and cache layers) are purged on a short delay.

Children

Idus is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will say so in the app or on the website before the change applies. Questions or requests: use the suggestion box in the app (Settings, "Send a suggestion") or the contact address published on the Idus website.
